I split up with my gal about 3 months ago. Im 26 and she's 24. I wasn't expecting it. She said she isn't ready for relationship and wants to still be friends. Since she has still been texting me and I think missing me and says that it's not me its her but she still loves me. She says im still special to her but just doent want a relationship and yet i know she is still interested Its confusing cos we still get on so well but her problem of commitment or whatever it is wont help? I don't know what to do cos im worried she is just keeping me 'warm' so not to make her feel guilty or worry i wont be there for her? Here is my dilemma. I had a GF that left me because after 8 months of being with her and living with her, I wanted to see if I still had feelings for a GF before her. So, I got together with the older GF and realized I didnt, but found out too late. My last GF the one I want back couldnt take it, and after about a month of being separated she ended it all together. She has just started seeing this new guy for about 3 4 weeks now and spends lots of time with him. My sister believes she is with him to get over me. I have whined, begged and pleaded to her that I wanted her back. I know she loves me so much that when I " wasnt sure" about my feelings I hurt her badly. My relationship with my ex Michelle lasted about a year and 3 months. We have had many trust issues. We would go through each others cell phones almost everyday to check for text messages from other people. She would always be worried about me hanging out with my friends thinking that they would hook me up with another girl.. and I never really trusted all of her friends.... but some i did. I know we loved each other very much and this was a serious issue that I didn't recognize. She would be with me everyday literally She had the key to my own house and would spend all day with me everyday. She constantly kept in touch with me and would kill any girl who stepped in the way. But after a while things got boring and we started to fight over stupid things like not texting each other back fast enough. We also would end up doing the same thing everyday for a little while because we basically ran out of ideas. She seemed stressed out all the time because of lack of sleep and working, and she would snap at me for every little thing. One night when she was in my bed laying down, i picked up her phone just to look through her text messages. For some reason she flipped out. I felt like she was hiding something so i decided to not give her phone back. I know it was wrong of me to take her phone, but i wanted to know if there was anything going on. She chased me around my room and put me in a head lock while attempting to get her phone back. I was trying to get away from her because i couldn't get a good look at her texts. She more or less wrestling with me, she never threw a punch and i never laid a hand on her. The only thing I did was keep my arm extended to keep her back which didn't work . My mom came up to my room and i decided to give my ex her phone back since she was acting insane. She ran out of my house and drove off. The next day i tried talking to her about the other night and she was very angry. She basically broke up with me and that same day she went to the police station... and i went down to see why she was there since i noticed her car outside of it. The police arrested me for assault and battery. I have a no contact order from the court. I keep in touch with her family because i know that she over reacted and she basically lied to the police about me hitting her. She did have bruises on her body but that was because of her jumping all over me. It's been about a month since i got arrested and my court hearing is September 30. Her dad plans on being there to help dismiss the charges. I was told to give her time and space... but since then she already had sex with one guy. Shes not looking for a relationship though but i think she's trying to forget me. But my question is how can I establish a friendship with her after all of this? I know that deep down inside she really has some feeling left... but shes been pushing me away with anger and telling people that I'm abusive. Right now she fucking hates me. But I'm waiting for her to cool down. I'm afraid that i wont even be able to establish a friendship even with some time. I know all this is very extreme... but when it's love i think its worth fighting for. Anybody have any advice on what i can do to resolve this situation for the best? Keep in mind i want her to stay in my life in some way.
