SO currently me and my ex have been improving on our ability to connect and communicate. We dated at a pretty young age I'm pretty sure its safe to say we were both each others first love. She broke it off with me because I was trying to date other girls, we got into a ton of fights and basically it was a sorry fest for like a couple months she was crying allot because she didn't want to hurt me but had no idea what was going on and it just kind of went down the tube. Well anyhow that has been the past for at least 5 6 years. We have always kept in touch with one another but over the years of high school we kinda drifted apart to different crowds and became different people . I dated someone else for at least a year and my ex was happy for me. Same for her she's been dating someone for allot longer 3 years now I think maybe 4 who's she's currently with. I always felt that she was waiting for me to change or something but every time she let me in I hurt her again. I was pretty immature for sometime. Well I went to college I broke up with the girl I was with and I continued talking to my first love. We use to talk on the phone allot but then I vocally criticized her and insulted her. I know im a douche bag So she never wanted to talk on the phone but always answers my texts and will text me for days. Anyways its been another 2 and half years since I first started going to college. I've been through allot and I've been single for 2 years well sorta I dated here and there but it wasn't anything special So I feel that I have changed and Im thinking about the possibility of her and me. about a year ago I was living a few hours away from her and I texted her about us. and she said that we should be friends. And that she always wanted to be friends but every time she tried to be friends I'd ask her out. So now that she told me this I told myself I had to move on. so we didn't talk for a while. Well my mom passed away in october so I went back home and started going to the community college and this is the first time in 3 years that I have seen my ex in person and every time we saw one another I was extremely respectful and nice I never made her feel uncomfortable and I walked her out to her car from time to time and I made sure to say hi to her in front of all my friends. well one day I thought it would be a improvement for her and me to just go and get tea. I asked her to tea and it took her a while to just text me and say I didnt want to hang out because I didnt really know you and were so different now. I told her well of course its been like 6 years. And you wanted to be friends right. well she said yes but told me sorry I cant do it right now. and that hurt me really bad. So I told myself forget it I didn't want anything to deal with someone that wont even try to be my friend. So the remainder of my time I ignored her when I saw her and it feel really awkward doing it because I know she was confused and I didn't like it. Well anyhow its been 6 months and we started talking again. She's very interested in what Im doing, shes really nice and really funny and I feel like were making improvement as two people knowing one another she texts me still only and I feel comfortable with that to because I didn't wanna rush things really. And she still with her current bf but is okay with me calling her hun and dear and texts me randomly. But what I wanna know is what should I look for in making it possible for us to date again? or is that even reasonable? I do like her still, she is the closest to spiritually and mentally attractive as I have ever been close to and I feel that we have the possibility to be great partners.

Why would you get back with your ex?
I'm trying to understand this. Why would someone get back with an ex after breaking up due to geographical reasons and then, back together because the ex didn't want it to end. But life wasn't so great after the reunion. Life was miserable, grey, grim and doomed for the entire year. My friend broke it off but to get back within a few months later. Said that they have resolved their differences. At the moment, they're supposedly doing the long distance thing. So no wonder things are ok because the crazy ex isn't here. But really, can you resolve your differences that easily after living through a year of grey and doom? My friend called things comfortable, but love should be passion and not just physical I'm talking about here.Anyways, if the ex is back, will it last? She told me she didn't want to date when we broke up because she wanted to be more independent. The guy that is dating her now is 27, she's 19. The guy totally played his game and sweet talked her while she was down and in arguments with me. She has dated him for two weeks now I think and she has kissed him. We were together for 3 years... After I confronted her she started crying saying to get the fuck out of her life and then asked what would happen if we got back together while crying.. I believe impossible is nothing, and im gonna do something about it. She left me a months back as i have short temper. We have been together for close to a year. I'm her first. She said we could still be friends and hangout but it seems it really aint the case now continue to read .Right now, im working on it and going to anger management class. She didn't know about this, i didn't tell her. I only told her im gonna change for the better and she said it's too late. Words dont convince her but I guess actions might.And now she is like trying to forget me. I know she hasnt, but she is trying.
